A Debit Telephone Account allows the family or friend of an inmate to purchase prepaid phone services for the inmate. The inmate can then make phone calls to any telephone numbers which are not restricted by the facility. The Debit Telephone Account is different from a Prepaid Account. With a Prepaid Account, the inmate can only make calls to the specific telephone number designated by the account holder. However, with a Debit Telephone Account, the inmate can make calls to any telephone numbers which are not restricted by the facility.
Who can use the Debit Telephone Account?
Only the individual inmate that is designated to the account can use the Debit Telephone Account for making phone calls to any phone numbers which are not restricted by the facility. The account is secured by a PIN as selected by the inmate designated to the account, discouraging other inmates from having access.
Who can the inmate call with a Debit Telephone Account?
With a Debit Telephone Account, the inmate can call any phone numbers which are not restricted by the facility. Should you desire to purchase prepaid phone services which can only be used for the inmate to call your designated phone number, it is recommended that you utilize a Prepaid Account. A Prepaid Account only allows the inmate to call the phone number you designate.
I can’t receive collect calls on my phone. Will I be able to accept calls from a Debit Telephone Account?
Yes. There are many reasons why a telephone may be unable to receive collect calls. Cell phone carriers, for example, do not typically allow their customers to receive collect calls on their cell phones. You may also have problems with collect calling if you use a VoIP/internet-based phone (service provided through your cable company or a VoIP provider like Vonage), if your phone is a business phone, or if you have a high unpaid balance on your telephone account. A Debit Telephone Account will allow the inmate to make calls to any phone numbers which are not restricted by the facility, including your phone number. A Prepaid Account will only allow the inmate to call the phone number you designate.
How do I set up a Debit Telephone Account and purchase prepaid phone services for an inmate?

This service allows you to conveniently purchase prepaid phone services using a credit or debit card.
